Virtual School

Joint Programs Regulations

 

 Since a virtual school describes an institution that teaches courses entirely or primarily through online methods, TUMS Virtual School is the premier provider of innovative online learning opportunities to prepare TUMS students to lead in a global society. TUMS virtual school is an online learning platform to deliver quality, flexible online courses for the diverse educational needs of the TUMS students as a strategy for increasing the graduation rate.

 In this Joint Programs Regulations, the relations between the two Parties: Virtual School and the School of face-to face courses will be presented.

 Act I: All students’ affairs including registration, selection units, Sama software, prepare well-equipped environment, time-table for face-to-face courses, software and hardware needs, confirm and registration of thesis, should be done by Virtual School. In fact, the Virtual School is replaced by the mother University for all students’ affairs.

 Act II: All educational affairs including teaching courses, taking exams, saving exams results in Sama educational system, time-table of face-to-face classes for faculty members, determining the supervisors and advisor for thesis, confirming the title of the thesis, supervising the process of thesis and thesis defense session should be done by the relevant department.

 Act III:  All affairs regarding the higher education should be done by the School’s Higher Education Council.

Note:   School’s Higher Education Council consists of the School’s educational vice-dean, director of educational department in the Virtual School.

 This Joint Programs Regulations is authorized and approved with three acts and one note in Educational Council of the University.
